Library Park, Beer Sheva
Winner of a design competition, 2016
This park expands on the concept of a library as a place of discovery, curiosity, meeting and tranquility. Translating the meaning of “library” for the park gave this place an added value in planning and design. Students, families, and long-time residents will be able to mingle together in a variety of lively options that the park offers—an outdoor library, spaces for learning and reading, games, gathering and meeting places. Areas of activity in the park were designed as “library shelves”, penetrating the soft, continuous topography of the park.
