marmalade park, Beersheba
Winner of design competition, 2011
Marmalade Park invites visitors and passersby to a unique experience of movement, a new way to experience the city, and for an encounter of different user groups. The park takes advantage of its fascinating location in the city, a seam between a neighborhood, the university and a business area, to attract different kinds of users. The trail system is a feature in itself – long strips, winding, passing and tying together the activity areas and beyond that also link up to the city and its institutions They are combined together in a harmony of colors, materials and dimensions, inviting visitors to return and experience the park from different perspectives and different kinds of sport. The varied paths are placed side by side to create a happy ensemble, a giant marmalade.
