Med. Center, Mt. of Olives
A research laboratory, meant to provide medical services to the population, is being designed for one of the most sensitive landscapes in Jerusalem – the slope of the Mount of Olives, at the foot of a monastery overlooking the Old City. In order to downplay its visibility, the building has been built into the mountain itself. A series of hanging gardens drape over the building, inviting researchers and patients to experience the historical landscape from within a contemporary garden.
