Yad L’Banim, Rehovot
Winner, planning competition.
Rehovot- a city undergoing urban renewal. How can new life be infused into a random hodge-podge of public buildings and outdated parks and gardens?
Our plan proposes an interconnected series of open spaces forming the backbone of the complex. These include a plaza, memorial garden and municipal park in the Herzl St. area, Rehovot’s main boulevard. This stretch lends itself to multi-functional activity: on holidays, memorial days and on an everyday basis, incorporating memory into the day-to-day experience of city residents.
