Reviiat Florentin, Tel Aviv

The Reviiat Florentin (Quartet) project is located in the heart of the vibrant Florentine neighborhood in Tel Aviv, and covers approximately 8 dunams at the intersection of Selma, Vital, Emile Zola and Wolfson streets. The complex includes four 9-story residential towers, with public plazas and active commercial spaces between them.
The decks in the complex existed before, and part of the planning challenge was to rethink how to elevate the experience of the public space. The landscape design aims to combine the urban and energetic character of Florentin with the creation of a green, shaded and pleasant space for residents, visitors and the general public.
At the heart of the complex, a central linear element in blue was designed, crossing the public space and appearing sometimes as a bench and sometimes as a table. The element creates a continuous connection between the parts of the complex and defines sub-spaces for different uses.
Where possible, new gardens were opened within the decks, adding more greenery and wildlife to the project. The green central area is sheltered from the busy streets and offers seating areas under trees, grassy areas and beds of diverse vegetation. Five walkways lead to the plaza from the surrounding streets, incorporating durable native vegetation, adapted street furniture and inviting seating areas. The project emphasizes human scale, comfortable flow between indoors and outdoors, and a connection between the community, the city and nature.
