The purpose of the masterplan is to create an ecological tourist park, particularly in the field of ornithology, which will maintain an ecological environment rich in the habitats it supports: preserving the richness and strengthening the biological diversity on the site as a prosperous environment for visitors and the residents of the area, which will have a significant social and economic impact and help regional regeneration. Promoting awareness and understanding of the site's history as an important value in preserving nature in the future.
The ambition of the master plan is to change the nature of the current experience from a one-time visit passing through a peripheral route without any focused content focus to a number of new trails, each one with different content allowing multiple and different visits. Six of these trails will be developed along the park, with different programs and habitats within which it passes. All these new trails will have hubs, connected by roads with shuttle route, bicycle and walking paths.
