The Cliff Park, Tel Aviv
The Cliff Park is a rare resource, a remnant of a previous landscape, "before the city was there". This is practically the last experience of an open landscape adjacent to the urban space in Tel Aviv. However, this is not a primordial landscape. Part of it is grooved and run over, it was used as a playground for off-road vehicles, flattened it out. While planning the park, we chose not to obscure the evidence of damage. We used the hard roads and paths, the existing collapses and the remains of the military base as raw material in the creation of the park. The system of paths is based on the existing roads, with slight changes and in the process of thinning paths, erasing them and fusing the cracks. The wanderer can choose a private path for himself in order to experience, observe, hide and discover.
