The “Elef” (1000) complex, Rishon LeZion

The Elef complex is a new quarter in West Rishon Lezion, combining employment, commerce and housing. The project covers 450 acres and constitutes a significant reserve of land for the development of the city. The Elef complex is located to the north of the Superland Lake, an artificial lake that is created from runoff water collected from Rishon LeZion, Holon and Bat Yam and is a focal point for nature in an urban setting and commercial activity. This proximity is a significant factor in the development and delineation of the elevation system of the entire complex, and also allows the flow of water to be a central factor in its design. The collection and retention of running water within the central park of the 'Elef' reduces the burden on the municipal runoff management system, reduces the risks of flooding and constitutes a scenic and visual resource, a focal point for the park and the entire complex.
